Contractors working at Mana Marina

At Mana Marina, we’re committed to creating a Marine environment with safe working practices.

Standard requirements

To be approved to work at Mana Marina, contractors and service provides must:

1. Register with the Marina Office and complete a Health & Safety induction which covers;

  • Marina rules and regulations for work permitted in the marina

  • Identifying and reporting hazards

  • Location of safety equipment in the marina

  • Emergency procedures and emergency contact numbers

2. Provide copies of Public Liability ($5million minimum cover) and Ship Repairers Liability Insurance ($1million minimum cover) certificates.

3.
On arrival to Mana Marina during Office hours, Contractors must sign in using the register held in the Office, and sign out again on departure.

4. Obtain necessary Permits to undertake work such as;
To do “Hot Work” (gas cutting or welding) while vessels are in the water, you must obtain a Hot Work Permit from the Harbour Master: 04 8304160 and inform the Marina Manager.
